Dr. Park treats lumbar stenosis (nerve pinching) as well as spondylolisthesis (slipping of the bone), two of the most common conditions seen, using a wide variety of techniques including:

  • Minimally invasive tubular decompression/discectomy

  • Laminectomy

  • Laminectomy with interbody fusion


How is scoliosis surgery different?

Some patient presents with a curve in the spine known as scoliosis - this may be something that develops at a young age or over time as the discs degenerate. This type of procedure requires special understanding of not only nerve decompression but also alignment and biomechanics unique to patients with a curved spine.


What if I’ve had spinal surgery before?

Revision spinal surgery, in patients who have had previous surgery, requires additional planning and consideration. Dr. Park has broad experience in revision surgery involving adjacent segment degeneration, pseudarthrosis (failure of fusion) as well as revision of previous instrumentation.
